art of the five-year plan for the Camalotillo area is to start businesses in Honduran cities and use part of the profits to support the mission projects. People from this rural area who now reside in the city, and are willing to work in their own business, will receive financial and managerial help from Principio. Eric Smith, from Lafayette, LA, is directing this area of ministry for us. Eric is an architect and computer store owner with several business ventures to his credit. A commitment to further the gospel and help people is literally at the heart of his endeavor. Two profit centers are now under way in the San Pedro Sula area. A house was rented near the airport and the front half was converted into a convenience store. It was opened on March 1, 2010. We are also considering a restaurant at this location. The other project is a bit more complicated. The land was rented about 20 minutes from town and some frame structures were altered to house chickens for poultry and egg production. Carlos Reyes is the director of this project, using his past experience in this area of business. This creates jobs for local workers and provides support for the ministry. Can a solution to continued finances be this simple? We think so and will be sure to let you know how it progresses.
